Cardinal Coil Tubing provides Coiled Tubing related services & equipment in both marine and land-based environments in the Shallow and Deepwater areas of the Gulf of Mexico and US Land region.  We have assembled a team of the most experienced and knowledgeable individuals in the field and provided them with a fleet of equipment that is the best in the market to drive exceptional performance.  Our fleet of equipment includes:

Land Based Equipment:

  • Trailerized Hydra Rig Coiled Tubing Units Capable of handling pipe from 1¼” through 2 ⅝” with capacity ranging from 20,000’ to 26,000’
  • Trailerized Fluid Pumps – 600HP 15,000 psi Dual Triplex
  • Trailerized Fluid Pumps – 1,000 HP 15,000 psi Dual Quintiplex with Stainless Fluid Block
  • 90k & 180k Trailerized Nitrogen Pump Units

Cardinal Coil Tubing Management & Support Staff:

Drew DeRouen
Division Manager

Drew joined the Cardinal team in 2012 and was responsible for establishing Cardinal Coil Tubing as a start-up service company. Drew has nearly 25 years’ experience in the Coiled Tubing segment, starting his career in 1995 with Ambar. From 1998 to 2012, he served in various roles for Coil Tubing Services, through its acquisitions by WH Energy, Smith International, and Schlumberger.

Allen Aucoin
District Engineer

As District Engineer, Allen is responsible for planning, modeling, operational procedures, and BSEE permit submittals. Allen began his career as a Supervisor Helper for Otis Engineering in 1989, and spent 10 years with Haliburton Coiled Tubing as a Supervisor, Service Coordinator, Service Leader. Prior to joining Cardinal in 2013, Allen spent 11 years with Coil Tubing Services, through its acquisition by WH Energy, Smith International, and Schlumberger, in various leadership positions.

Mike Vincent
Maintenance Manager

Mike joined the Cardinal team in 2013 as Maintenance Manager, responsible for ensuring compliance with our stringent maintenance plan. Prior to 1999, Mike held various maintenance and mechanic related positions for companies such as Ambar Production Service, BJ Coiltech, Dowell/Schlumberger, Waste Management, and Freeport McMoran. Prior to joining Cardinal, Mike served as Mechanic/Purchaser from 1999 to 2013 for Coil Tubing Services through its acquisitions by WH Energy/Smith International/Schlumberger. With Mike’s 30 years’ experience in the maintenance realm, we feel confident that our equipment is maintained to the highest of standards.

Lance Kern
Operations Coordinator

Lance’s career began in 1997 with Haliburton Coil Tubing as an Equipment Operator and progressed to Supervisor Trainee by 2002. From 2002 to 2010, Lance worked in various operational capacities for Coil Tubing Services, from Field Supervisor to Purchasing Manager. From 2010 to 2016, Lance served as Service Coordinator, Operations Manager, and District Manager for Go Coil through its acquisition by Pioneer. Lance joined the Cardinal team in 2016 as Operations Coordinator, and is responsible primarily for logistics of equipment and personnel.

Dustin Bellard
Operations Coordinator

Dustin has been a part of the Cardinal Coil Tubing team since its inception in 2013, serving as Field Supervisor, until assuming the role of Operations Coordinator in 2018. His oilfield career began in 2007 as a Coiled Tubing Assistant for Coil Tubing Services, where he progressed to Field Supervisor. He served as Fishing Tool Supervisor for STS/OilStates from 2012 until joining the Cardinal group in 2013.

Justin Freeman
Assistant District Engineer

Justin joined Cardinal in 2014, coming from Cetco Energy Services where he served as Field Engineer for 3 years. His primary responsibilities are assisting the District Engineer with planning, modeling, logistics, and permit submittals.
